FAQ

Asked, answered.

For venues

What do I need to get started?

A phone and 15 minutes. Register, build your menu (Arabic + English), print your table QR cards from the dashboard, and you're taking orders. No POS terminal, no tablet, no contract.

How much does it cost?

One all-inclusive rate — 5.9% + EGP 4 per digital payment (minimum EGP 5) — with no monthly fee. That single fee already covers card processing, so there's nothing else to set up or pay. If you're already integrated with Fawry, you keep your own processing and Aada's fee is just 3.15%. Cash orders carry a flat 3.5% commission. Use the calculator on the pricing page to estimate your cost.

When does the money reach my account?

Your share of every payment settles to your own bank account on the standard cycle — Aada's fee is taken automatically in the same transaction, never collected and paid out later. You give us your payout details (an IBAN or a bank-account letter) whenever you're ready: it's optional at signup and can be added any time in Settings.

My customers mostly pay cash. Is Aada still useful?

Yes — QR ordering alone saves waiter trips, kills wrong orders and speeds table turns; cash payments carry just a flat 3.5% commission. Digital payment is there whenever a guest prefers it, and adoption grows on its own.

Does Aada replace my POS?

For a small venue, yes — the dashboard covers menu, orders and payments. Bigger operations keep their POS: Aada connects to Foodics, Syrve, Odoo, Deliverect and more. You can even route dine-in table orders to your POS while self-serve and pickup flow through a delivery middleware — every order lands in the system you already run.

Can I change my menu during service?

Instantly. Toggle an item off when it runs out, change a price, add a special — guests see it on the next scan. No reprinting, ever.

For guests

Do I need to download an app?

No. Point your camera at the table's QR code and the menu opens in your browser — about six seconds, in Arabic or English.

Do I have to create an account?

Never for ordering or paying. Signing in with your mobile number is optional — it lets you collect ‘buy N, get 1 free’ rewards at venues that offer them, and keeps your order history in one place.

How does splitting the bill work?

Open the bill, choose split, pick equal shares (÷2 to ÷5) or type your own amount. Everyone pays from their own phone; the table's bill updates live until it closes itself.

Is paying by card at the table safe?

Payments run through a licensed, CBE-regulated payment gateway with 3-D Secure. Aada never stores your card number, and the venue never sees it.

Can I still pay cash?

Of course — this is Egypt. Choose cash at checkout and a waiter collects it at your table. You can even order by QR and pay cash.

How do the rewards work?

Some venues offer ‘buy N, get 1 free’ on individual items — for example, buy 10 coffees and the next one is on the house. Sign in with your mobile and your progress is tracked automatically; the free one applies at checkout. Each venue picks which items and the number.
